5 STAR AD REVIEW
Hello, Friends today we will do the 5 star advertisement review and we will see does it affecting the sentiments of people and what are my views on this ad.
"Eat5StarDoNothing/ Kabhi Kuch Na Karke Bhi Dekho"
Let's look into 5 star ad review, On 25 December Cadbury
launched the ad campaign for Cadbury 5 star chocolate which is created by the
Ogilvy India advertising agency.
The ad starts with an old lady who is sitting
on the roadside asking the young boy who is eating 5 star to pick up her
walking stick and the boy reply Ji Maaji, but the boy lost in 5 star and didn’t
give back the stick to the old lady then the old lady herself gets up to pick up
the stick then suddenly a grand piano falls down on the place where an old lady
was seating then after seeing this the old lady says to the boy that thank you beta, achha hua tuney kuch nahi kiya
then the boy replied most welcome maa ji then the ad ends by saying # kabhi
kuch na karke bhi dekho.

So through this advertisement, the company tries to target the young generation and they say that who eat 5 star, they just get lost in the test of 5 star
as the boy lost in the taste and forget to give back the stick to the old lady.
The company put the advertisement in a humorous way but it leads to criticism by the
public for reckless and irresponsible in the portrayal of the youth. Humour is
subjective some find it funny some find it offensive. In my view 5 star advertisement is not
offensive we should understand the whole storyline of the ad. They say that
sometimes it is fine to do nothing. This ad is fun Impulsive so we should take
in that perspective. They say that sometimes not doing anything also results in
something good.
The ad doesn’t say that don’t respect elders the boy in the ad
says ji maji he did not refuse to help old lady but he lost in the test of 5star then old lady herself took the stick which saves her life. So The ad is
trying to say when you eat 5 star you find yourself relaxed, stress out and you
lost in your world.
As youth is always under pressure so sometimes it’s ok to take
rest As we can see the history of 5 star advertisement they make the funny advertisement as we have
seen the series of Ramesh and Suresh they as a character loved by the public
and their stupidity also liked by viewers but here this new advertisement #Eat 5 star do nothing, somewhere fails
in creating humor so this could have been better.

I saw this ad when it was shared by @beastoftraal. It reminded me of an ad done by the British newspaper ‘Independent’. I don’t think this ad is offensive in any way and needs to be seen in the context of the category which is fun impulse. We cannot be morally policing candy ads!— Ambi Parameswaran (@ambimgp) January 3, 2020
